Overview

The Tari XTM<->wXTM bridge currently has a daily limit of 2 million in each direction. This is an insufficient amount for the community’s needs, and makes the bridge virtually unusable to all but bots.

Proposed Change

This proposal is to raise the daily bridge limit from 2 million to 5 million in each direction, with a future (additional) raise to be decided by the Tari Council.

Considerations

Bridges are a common target for malicious actors looking to exploit vulnerabilities in cryptocurrency projects. Current limits exist to reduce the chances of bridge exploits.

Bridge limits have a secondary effect of limiting sell pressure on exchanges. Raising/removing limits may negatively impact price/liquidity.
